Master of Animals is one of the nature-deities in mythology of Ancient Kuzhebar. He has no particular look, his shape is changeable and variable. He could appear as a spirit with many faces, as an animal, as a human or just invisible. He is able to have any animals’ form he wants. Master of Animals knows and influences life and death of all animal beings, he protects and heals them, and can change their fate. If it happens that a human brings help to an animal folk, in acknowledgement of that Master of Animals can accept such a human as his pupil and can teach his pupil the animals’ language and the ability to have an animal shape.

Stringed Ghost Catcher with Pyrography Design

Ghost Catcher (stringed) is a traditional instrument of Kuzhebar people
(South Siberia). It is a kind of mouth bow, but unlike other mouth bows
it has little fingerboard and 2 strings, so it is possible to play melodies
on it strumming the strings by right hand, and pressing the strings to the fingerboard by left hand. It is also possible to play on it with a stick, this technique reminds the berimbao playing. The instrument should be placed in front of the mouth and modulated like a jaw harp. 
  

This model of the Ghost Catcher is covered with symbols believed to be
a protection by hunting the ghosts on two sides of the instrument
and presenting a mosquito on its third side.

Human visual sense is adopted to the human environment but if you are going to be able to see in the world of spirits you might need another sight ability. So says kuzhebarian folk belief. And the point is not in your disability to see anything in the spirits world, but in the sense to understand what you have seen, because in the world of spirits rules a different interpretation system. Kuzhebarian tales say that the Goor-Bird can bring this special sense to humans. To get it one just should go to the sacred Gurgang Tree to spend the night over there and to play a special song on the jaw harp during the twilight hour.

The Kuzheshu-Fish was often honoured with special songs in Ancient Kuzhebar. When somebody wanted to know something about relatives or friends who were far away, he sang a question-song to Kuzheshu.
Kuzheshu-Fish knew everything what had even happen under or above the earth. It lives in water and all secrets and mysteries, which are kept in rivers, lakes, seas and oceans, in ground waters and waterfalls, in rain, fog, steam and even in tears of humans and animals were for it easy accessible.

Premiere of the performance "Stolen Voice" at the festival KAMWA 2014 (Perm)

Premiere of the performance "Stolen Voice" will take part at the 6th of September at the International Ethnofuturistic festival "KAMWA" in Perm.
This project of Julia Surba presents her passion for synthesis of arts. It includes the freedom of performance, mystery of shadow theater, unique costumes and live music. The choice of the background music is also very interesting. There are traditional tunes from different parts of the world: Kazakhstan, Tibet, Amazonia etc. These tunes help to develop the main charackters of the performance: Lord of Thunder, Sky Sisters and Yysh Aa – a braveheart, who volunteered for help the younger Sky Sister being equipped just with his gumption, purity of his intention and magical sounds of his musical instruments.
The premiere performance will be presented by Synthesism Theater Mimikria starring Nadishana as Yysh Aa and David Kuckhermann as Master of Thunder
